Dental PMMA Milling Discs

PMMA discs are the everyday workhorse material for any CAD/CAM lab - provisionals, long-term temporaries, mock-ups, try-ins, full dentures, denture bases and surgical guides all come from the PMMA disc rack. We stock open-system 98 mm, Zirkonzahn 95 mm and Amann Girrbach 89 mm formats in the common tooth shades and in clear / pink denture base colours.

Milling notes

PMMA is milled dry with carbide burs - do not use wet or diamond-coated burs. 2- or 3-flute burs with polished flutes evacuate chips cleanly; trapped chips are the usual cause of fuzzy margins on PMMA. If a disc has been in a warm or humid room for several days, let it acclimatise for an hour before milling - thermal expansion at mounting causes margin error that looks like machine drift.
