Lithium Disilicate Press Ingots

For labs running the lost-wax press technique rather than CAD/CAM milling, lithium disilicate press ingots give the same final material as milled blocks but via wax-up -> investment -> heat press. The finished restoration has identical mechanical properties (around 360-400 MPa) and is indistinguishable clinically from a milled-and-crystallised block.

Stocked ingots

• HT (High Translucency) ingots for anterior aesthetic work
• LT (Low Translucency) for posterior crowns and stump-covering
• MO (Medium Opacity) for layered copings and framework work
• HO (High Opacity) for implant abutments and heavy masking

Press schedule notes

Press schedules are vendor- and furnace-specific. Start with the schedule published for your furnace and ingot combination; do not re-use a schedule from a different ingot batch without verifying on a test crown. Investment material compatibility matters too - not every phosphate-bonded investment is cleared for lithium disilicate press.
