CAD/CAM Milling Materials for Dental Labs
Subcategories
Dental Milling Materials
This section covers all the consumable materials that go into a dental CAD/CAM workflow - everything except the cutting burs themselves. Zirconia blocks for framework and monolithic work, lithium disilicate blocks for anterior aesthetic crowns, PMMA for provisionals and dentures, wax for lost-wax castings, and pressable ingots for heat-press labs.
Material groups
- Zirconia - pre-sintered 3Y / 4Y / 5Y and multi-layer discs in 98 mm open, 95 mm Zirkonzahn and 89 mm Amann Girrbach formats
- Lithium disilicate blocks - CAD-grade block cubes for chairside and lab wet-mill workflows
- Lithium disilicate press ingots - for lost-wax press technique on Ivoclar Programat and compatible furnaces
- Dental PMMA discs - long-term provisional, mock-up and denture material in multiple shades
- Dental wax discs - castable milling wax for lost-wax and metal framework workflows
Ordering tips
Most material complaints at the lab bench are actually mounting, shrinkage calibration or sintering furnace issues rather than the block itself - keep track of which batch produced which result, and confirm your CAM software's shrinkage value matches the value printed on each disc. Every block we ship is labelled with batch, shade and (where applicable) measured shrinkage factor.
Compatibility
We supply open-system formats plus dedicated Zirkonzahn 95 mm and Amann Girrbach 89 mm compatible holders. If your mill uses a proprietary holder not listed in these sub-categories, contact us before ordering. CADBURS is not affiliated with any dental machine or block manufacturer; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
