Sirona MCXL Compatible Dental Milling Burs

The Sirona MCXL uses the standard Sirona tool-changer interface. Our burs are cut to that interface's Sirona block-holder tool format and are intended for glass ceramic, lithium disilicate, zirconia and composite blocks in wet milling. They replace the OEM tool set directly without any software or collet changes.

Bur selection on the Sirona MCXL

• Roughing pass: larger tip diameter for fast material removal on glass ceramic, lithium disilicate, zirconia and composite blocks
• Semi-finish pass: medium diameter for axial walls
• Finish pass: small diameter for detail and margin
• Shank: Sirona block-holder tool format for direct OEM replacement

Tool life notes

Keep a simple log (job count per bur, material, any margin issues) and the pattern becomes obvious within a week or two. Most early tool failures are feed/speed or coolant issues, not bur quality - sudden chipping usually means the collet is loose or the spindle TIR has drifted, not that the bur is defective.

Support

If the first bur you order does not drop straight into the Sirona MCXL tool changer, contact us with a photo of the OEM bur alongside ours and we will confirm whether it is a shank-mismatch issue or something else. We would rather get the spec right before a second order than have you run a partial batch with the wrong tool.
