UP3D P42 Compatible Dental Milling Burs

Milling burs for the UP3D P42, cut to the same tip geometry and shank tolerance as the OEM tool set. Used for zirconia, PMMA and wax in the machine's standard dry milling cycle. Mounting: 4 mm shank.

Bur selection on the UP3D P42

• Roughing pass: larger tip diameter for fast material removal on zirconia, PMMA and wax
• Semi-finish pass: medium diameter for axial walls
• Finish pass: small diameter for detail and margin
• Shank: 4 mm shank for direct OEM replacement

Tool life notes

Keep a simple log (job count per bur, material, any margin issues) and the pattern becomes obvious within a week or two. Most early tool failures are feed/speed or coolant issues, not bur quality - sudden chipping usually means the collet is loose or the spindle TIR has drifted, not that the bur is defective.

If the first bur you order does not drop straight into the UP3D P42 tool changer, contact us with a photo of the OEM bur alongside ours and we will confirm whether it is a shank-mismatch issue or something else. We would rather get the spec right before a second order than have you run a partial batch with the wrong tool.
